Sesavita® is sesamin standardized extract of S. indicum. Sesame is one of the most important oilseed crops. It is revered for many therapeutic benefits. Sesame seeds are traditional food and medicinal ingredients in several cultures around the world.

Phytochemistry:

Sesame seeds contain natural antioxidant such as sesamin, sesamol, sesaminol, phenols, flavonoids and lignans.[1] The high resistance of sesame oil to oxidation has long been known.[2]

Clinical indication:

Sesame seeds accelerate fatty acid metabolism, inhibit cholesterol absorption and biosynthesis. It improves liver functions in connection with alcohol metabolism. S. indicum possesses antioxidant, hypotensive and antiaging properties.[3] Clinical study indicated beneficial role of Sesavita® to maintain healthy lipid profile and blood glucose levels in patients with hyperlipidemia and prediabetes.[4]
